Hey guys, wonder if you can help me out with a quick question.

I have and APR chip with the TBA feature but have never used this. What exactly does TBA do and why would you need it? I aint very mechanically minded but just looking for a bit of info on this.

I understand that it should be done when the engine is cold etc but to be honest, wouldn't know why I would be doing it.

Anyone shed any light on this for me?

Cheers,
Graeme

I opted to not get it with APR, as i was under the impression that the engine management does it itself these days ?

Anyoneable to clarify this :confused:

using the power of a search button

amazingly Leo managed to reply giving no useful advice (unlike this time)

I think it just preempts 'doing' it with the APR

It always does it for me automatically if i'm not starting engine in some secs after turning ignition on. I can clearly hear its whining noise.

memo to self : only reply if useful information is available, like m@rk does ;)

and as sim said ;

" I did a throttle body alignment on my car, but did not make any difference. I think the ECU does TBA (Throttle Body Alignment) automatically, so you don't really have to care about it. "
