Chaps, Anyone know of a good respectable place where I can take my ibiza 1.8T to get tuned. Seem's to be running like a dog and could do with a tune up..

West Yorkshire area..

Cheers

Tuned?
Do you mean chipped or just checked as std & healthy.

Other than regular service items, there is'nt much to do to tune up a 20VT motor.

Add induction kit, exhaust, DV, remap are all performance upgrades. Is this what you are after?

If it's running a buit lumpy....suggest a few basic things to check.

1. What feul do you use? not supermarket variety I hope!
2. Open the airbox (6 screws on top) take out the elememt and see if it's like a desert (loads of sand and shite). Unchecked 20VT's pick up loads.
3. Is the car your from new? Do you know this history? has it been chipped , trial chipped or anything else? what's the mods done? zorst etc?

Cheers

I got the car last October from SEAT main dealer. It looked to be standard, I fitted a boost Gauge and it boosts over a 1.0 bar. I fitted a high spec induction kit and a custom made zorst. (also been dropped with H&R Cup lower kit & Masitaly 17's). It has been running fine but over the last month or so it seem's to be playing up. They seem's to be a delay to when the boost kicks in.

I am not sure if or how it has been chipped, so I thought the best think to do would be to get it on rolling road and see what is going on.

What do you think?

Stock boost on 20VT would be around 0.5 bar approx...

1bar is chipped.

If you have a delay in power delivery check your DV and or MAF

Do you know if your Dump Valve is stock (black plastic) or a after market one (probably metal (silver or black) Sits at the back in the middle (of the engine bay) - two big rubber tubes and 1 small one going to it)

My DV what sticking, just re-serviced it and it back to normal.
