View Full Version : Upsolute dealer in t' North .......
Now just suppose there was about to be a more northerly Upsolute dealer.
Imagine they were like somewhere.....around the York kinda vicinity....
If (in theory) you would be interested in using the services of such a man (or lady I guess......purely hypothetical of course)....maybe it would be worth an email to:-
upsolute_uk_north@hotmail.com
With your car model / age and "approximately when you would be interested in purchasing"......if this service were available that is......
(PS ~ this theoretical person (or maybe they are an animal......have I given too much away?) isn't me.....) :)

I must be dim.
Who and where exactly?
regards
Bill
I would prefer english myself
Guys,
It wasn't your relatives who broke the enigma code back in WW2 was it?
To decipher my heavily coded message above further:-
A more northerly source for the Upsolute chip range will be announced in the next couple of weeks. Gents name is "Jon", and he'll be an Upsolute rep, and won't therefore trade under any business name Bill.
He'll be based in York, and you can get in touch with him at the email address above. (Please note there are underscores in the address ~ the link looks like it contains spaces).
If you are interested, you have an opportunity to get in touch with the man before he's officially announced. He'll be working alone to cover "the north" ~ each upgrade takes 3-4hrs as I understand it, so he may get busy kinda quickly (?).
Ironically, I'm not sure if I'm going to bother myself at the moment (warranty and chrimbo overspend etc) ~ but since I've been in touch with Upsolute for a while I'm party to some "early info" that Jon is happy for me to share.
GTevo ~ gotta tell you that given your profile, your closest rep will still be Impossible Performance so you need not worry that my code was too tough ;)
I'd be interested, but would prefer a little less, "cloak and dagger" stuff and more real, live dealer dealer with premises etc.
You'll notice on the Upsolute website (their dealer list) that Impossible Performance are now referred to as "Upsolute UK (South)"
Jon will be ......can you guess?.......Upsolute UK North. Just not 'til about a weeks time when he is up and running officially.
If this appears as cloak and dagger.....blame me and my daft sense of humour  as opposed to Jon.
[huff mode]
I thought (obviously stupidly) that folks might be interested in some "inside" info to get ahead of the queue.
[/huff mode]
Anyone know how many values of the ecu program the upsolute chip change.......
I'd prefer English myself
so was mine!
right then.....
:hammer::hammer::hammer::hammer::hammer:
The Scottish accent I can understand no probs; just can't understand much in Eastenders though!:)
Now please, don't anyone be offended (unless you're in Eastenders...) ;)
a rechip consists of changing values in the original chip like air/fuel ratio and boost and alike. 20vt are about a 10% hike of the values to produce the 40bhp extra.
david
So do you know how many values the Upsolute chip changes then?
this is hard work...........especially with you northerners:p
thats what i want to know
:D
Sorry ~ don't know.
You could ask on the Upsolute forum (?)
Whatever the answer is, I'm sure Mosser insisted that they change a few extra......just for good measure.....
Now! Now Gtevo! You'll be telling me NUFC won't get anymore points between now and the end of the Season next...:D
Just to please mik,
I'm am going to have to insist that they change a few extra values!! :D,

Do they do one for the 8V??
Mosser
Shop soiled E10s at Jessops - 12 months warranty, boxed, instructions etc etc. Check out: www.jessops.com and go to the 2nd hand section. It'll tell you which shops have them; ring and sort a price. I've bought one for College from Perth (being sent down to local store) for £765 (£850 less 10% sale discount) - bargain!
Mike
PS: Don't tell anyone - they'll go fast!:)
Cheers Toonman !!, i will check them out!, and i wont tell anyone either ;)
I heard that! :D

Depends on what car and model, Seat 1.8T Changes Air/fuel, Timming and Boost, which is main three also things like rev limiters etc are changed, if you have an AWP engine then the valve timming is also changed 'Four'.

Sorry.. Engine code can be found..
Under the engine cover on the bottom left side of the head, you may be able to see it without removing the engine cover.
Also on Golfs it under the carpet in the boot sometime under the spare wheel, not sure weather this is the same on the SEAT.
Mic
Thanks for info Mic,
my leon cupra has AUQ, i think that seems to be a common one with other leon owners, so is that engine code any good?
