can anyone confirm that the discs listed below available from http://www.navshop.co.uk/ will work in the SatNav system in the V5.

Great Britain & Belfast DX 2003 - 2004 - TravelPilot DX
or
Great Britain & Belfast DX + Major Roads of Western Europe 2003 - 2004 - TravelPilot DX
or
Great Britain & Belfast DX 2003 Michelin - TravelPilot DX - Special Edition

If so does anyone have any feedback on which is the best buy, or whether the extra info/details on the the last two are a bit pointless.

Finally is it just a case of putting these discs in and they work straight away or is an upgrade process required?

Your help and advice is very much appreciated.

Yep, Teleatlas is the official site for SatNav CD's for Blaupunkt among others. I bought a 2003/4 GB & Belfast CD £80 ish I think from them. Placed the order after asking much the same questions you did, cyberman. Got the TravelPilot DX as I had the dynamic system,

Disk arrived after 3 or 4 days and was loaded up sucessfully and now works atreat. No installation worth worrying about - just shive it in and take the defaults'

Gives extra streets, grester location accuracy. Also Now has house numbers and postcode imput.

How do I know if I have the 'dynamic' system? Is this the standard system on the V5's? (Mine is a 6 month old V5.)

It says "DYNAMIC" on the top of the unit is the easiest way to tell, if it's like mine. Other than that the menus are very slightly different as is the manual but, because the TMC function's not enabled for SEAT in the UK, there aren't many other ways.

Eject the CD (button top left of head unit) and see if it says DX on that, then you should be able to simply replace with the latest release.

My unit was actually changed from non-dynamic to dynamic and it's the only difference has been that I by a TravelPilot DX CD now instead. If your motor's only 6 months old it should have the DYNAMIC Sat Nav.

I thought about getting one of the other CD versions but then realised I've never used a Michelin guide in my life and I don't get lost on the major roads in Europe, it's the minor ones that I get lost on, so I just went for the boggo version.
