Saul,

How are you getting on - (is it fitted yet?)

sorry if I missed a post that answers me.

Looking at the 'price drop' threads is this the same as what now costs £600?

If it is WOW im getting this done....

See follow up post.....

Hi all,

I've got a possible prize I could let you give away on the site, for a bit of free advertising :)

It's a car alarm with a pager that will page you if your if your car alarm is activated.

It is a full alarm in it's self, but we use it as an add on to your existing alarm just for the paging features (you can also plug an output from you car phone or radio into it, to alert you to an incomming call).

Have a look at this page

http://security.sld.co.uk/pagealarm.html

and let me know if you think anyone would be interested and I'll see if I can get one from the office. We would not be able to offer free fitting as we don't usually fit them ourselves.

We even took them down to the Maclaren F1 factory to see if we could fit them as standard, but there was no metal ground plane for the antenna and the car is so low that radio range was really crap.

The kit comes with cables to connect into the car's standard radio antenna and I would guess that fitting to a Leon should be no problems, but having never taken my dash apart or seen a scematic I can't be sure. Been fitted to Mercs and BMWs with no problems and it even poweres up the retractable antenna when needed.

Regards Alex

Just looked into the APR tuning more seriously,

Price is £595 for the std and 95 octane options.
Cruise control is needed and is £175 if done at the same time.

so £770 +VAT = £905

They can then add tuning programs for £89 +VAT = £105

The programs actually 'adapt' to your car, So if you add exhaust etc the program will make use of it and dosnt need re-doing.

Using 98 RON fuel with the 95 RON program you will still get some of the advantage of the fuel (approx 75%).

The 98 RON program makes full use of the fuel and will give better performance if using race fuel (eg track days).

Apparently they saw 15bhp more on a TT using 98RON and this program.

The 95 program on a std ibiza cupra give 193 bhp with 230lb.

I've not even got my car yet and I'm saving already.
