View Full Version : FAO Flapper, VAS 6103 cable
Flapper:-
Are you able to supply a VAS 6103 cable?, ross-tech list this as being freely available from your dealer!, and its compatible with the vag-com software they sell,
If you can, can you let me know how much they cost please?

Q: Can I use an Interface adapter that came with another software package?
Yes. Any interface adapter works with VWTool or VDS-PRO should work. In addition, the ISO-only interface adapter that Alex Peper ships with his Vehicle Explorer OBD-II software package will work. Alex's "combination" adapters will not work with VAG-COM. Most other "OBD-II" adapters will not work. Lastly, the interface adapters supplied with the German Posicon software that many VW and Audi OTS's have access to will work, as will the VAS-6103 cable that should now be available at every VW/Audi dealership. If you have some other adapter, simply try it, you can't hurt anything.
I got the bare board and connector from: http://www.andywhittaker.com/ecu/obdii_hardware.htm
Built it up and it works a treat. Less than £20 all in.
