Just come back from test driving a leon cupra and wow what a car.
The only question now is where to get one from. The dealer wouldnt give much at all in the way of discount, so i am looking into other avenues for getting my hands on one.
Does anyone have any recommendations on which way to go, dealer, import, etc etc. I also see on seats website that there are a number of used cars x and y reg with low mileage saving some £1500 which i could be interested in.

Welcome to the club...
Seat UK is mean... -_-;;
I got £1000 taking off (only!) and importing one is not really an option - high interest rates + warranty.
Renault came back to me again yesterday with a £3000 discount!
Seat UK, if you reading this, you have till Monday to give me a proper discount or else...

You sould be able to get one for a little over £12k You might also try www.interplancars.co.uk, (http://www.interplancars.co.uk,) I brought a Puma via these and they are also good. Hope this helps

ukdelta..you got £1000 off (only), is that off a standard uk seat dealer, if so i didnt get anything near that offered to me, which dealer did you got to?, was that off the basic leon cupra or leather etc etc

Hi, i am about to purcharse a Loen Cupra, waht kinda of saving and finance package should i expect?? plz help as the total cost of car with leather and other bits and bobs is upto £18000. the dealer so far reckons the price cant really be reduced, but says he will match any offer or finance i can get hold of from other dealer sor banks. but i dont want to travel far for another dealer, plz email me inaam@zoom.co.uk. thanx all

hmi1750 - your dealer is having a right laugh, "price can't really be reduced" my @rse.
Check out www.autobytel.co.uk (http://www.autobytel.co.uk) for a Leon Cupra quote (UK sourced motors). Or get in touch with "Carfile" - they are UK brokers who collect a load of orders and direct them all at one UK Seat dealer. The dealer can then negotiate better deals from Seat UK and pass on more saving to yourself. I was quoted £15,312 (on the road inc. free delivery within UK) from Carfile for Leon Cupra 20VT with leather + metallic. The Seat UK list price is £16,648 for same.
I have no connection with autobytel or Carfile - just used them for quotes.
Good luck!
Yorkie.

thanx yorkie.could u plz tell me the number for carfile.. i still would ratehr go through dealer as they did say they can match prices and finance.. also, do u know of any dealers that i will give better discout? like the one that is on this webiste.
anywayz, thanx for ur help.. i shall look at that.

Carfile have a basic website that explains how their service operates. Link below.
http://www.grantchester.ndirect.co.uk/carfile/home.htm
Get a quote from them and then present it to your local dealer and see what he has to say!
Unless you go for an import motor then you're unlikely to get a better UK sourced quote.

will give it a go

Yes, from a UK dealer. Check out the www.seat.co.uk (http://www.seat.co.uk) web site and look-out for Edinburgh offices. Based on a Leon 1.8T 20v (I don't call it a Cupra anymore since it doesn't have a badge).
I am pretty sure that you could get this kind of discount everywhere really.
