Hey guys,

OK - so....fast car and speed cameras everywhere = radar detector ordered! (Got the Belltronics Euro 550).

Question - where is best to install it? If I put it on the centre of the dash then I have a power wire running down the middle of the centre consol. If I put it on the right (over the air vent) then I can wire it from the fuse box...but will it be as effective in the corner?

Anyone done this before?

Cheers - Rich

check the installation instructions http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/smile.gif ??? does it HAVE to be in sight ??? we used to install em in the armrests in mazda's and renaults , mind you that was snooper models

For a snooper it needs to have a clear view front and rear for the bes t protection but then yo have the problem of the wire but if that's all you have to put up with to stop getting caught speeding then it's ok.

Yeah, has to be line of sight to get the lasers!!!

I think I am going to put it on the windscreen but on the right hand side above the air vent. This should allow me to run a wire to teh fuse-box (just below) and power it there. Hence not too many wires floating around.

Only problem - no obvious earth point in the fuse box?? Any ideas??
