I'll be picking up a Leon TDi110 this weekend and chipping is high on the agenda :)
I've browsed a few posts and checked a bunch of websites and it seems theres not a lot between the various makes of chips except price.

Someone pointed out a module at Mr Hoot (http://www.mrhoot.com) for a measly £150. Has anyone tried this and was it any good?

Failing that, what do you guys reccomend?

i got a www.tdperformance.co.uk one and so does JonTdi
They're not as cheap as the mr hoot one but well proven.

we wouldnt recommend a mr hoot one... see here :-

the tdperformance one is the best overall for price/performance/warranty.

Haven't heard of anyone using a "Mr Hoot" box so can't really comment on there value for money. But concensus of opinion is maybe too good to be true.
TD Performance box is pretty good. Mine produced 152bhp on max setting last week. Best £280 I ever spent!

If you want to get it chipped than Upsolute or Jabbasport are also recommended @ a cost of 400-500 notes.

Thanks guys, I think I'll give TD a call once the Leon is on the road.

£280 for 152bhp, thats about £6.67 per horse - money well spent! The TDPerformace ones are switchable arent they?

you might also want to look at upsolute. They have a standard & strong file available. I'm not sure how pricing compares though.

they have seven settings - everyday use i use 5 as 7 too wild in wet.

To switch off you simply remove the lead from MAF sensor.
