Hi There
I have a 3 month old Leon Cupra r WHICH I HAVE BEEN RUNNING IN FOR 4000 miles so it should be well run in, so last night at a set of traffic lights promted by a annoying citreon saxo vts driver thought i'd teach the cocky little sod a lessons or 2 on how fast my car is just because it was a saxo. BUT to my astonishemnt relised that i wasn't leaving him in the manner that i expected for a car nearly 100bhp more.
Is my car not run in yet or is there something done on the first service.
HELP ME AS I HAVE BEEN DISHEARTENED BY THIS

MPG is great either 22mpg

Up to 30 mph and even 60 mph there wouldn't be much in terms of distance apart in it. Keep your foot in and pick up some fines and the power will be much more telling.

Turn off the esp/tcs
and once you get into the meat of 3rd and forth he will be dust!
up to 60 there won't be much in it

Traffic light grandprix's are not the Leon's strong point due to the fact that it weights the best part of twice what the Saxo does. I would still expect you to beat it but not by much. You'd start pulling away after 70 as the Saxo runs out of steam.

As always, a quick getaway takes lots of practice and believe me with 270hp its even harder to get off the line without frying the fronts.

For info the Saxo VTS has 130bhp/ton and a standard LCR has 163 according to Evo mag.

....quick little cars them VTSs when driven properly. Out of the box they pull low 7s to 60, not a great deal slower than a LCR.

You will waste him past 75/80
