thinking of chipping my cordoba ,just to get a bit more grunt,AMD quote 10% or so on an ABF engine and these guys are/were reputed to be the best.
what about other tuners such as jabbasport,stealth etc,not gonna do head or cams as i want a different car next year or so but just a wee bit more poke would be nice.

AMD lost geoff who did the more custom mapping, now you can get it done @ stealth where geoff 'free lances' so I beleive
costs £350 tho
If i were going to - i probably would.
but 10% is realistic
then again, just drilling the crap out of my airbox saw an increase in torque & power.

my ex 16v did
140lbfts/160BHP (modded airbox + back box)
148lbfts/163BHP (modded airbox + bacx box + chip)
the new owner said that it was not worth chipping it at the first, but after he removed CAT, he felt some further improvement and could use the extra power of revving the engine past 7000 with the chip. so overall he did not regret chipping it.
£350 quid??reground cams would probably as "cheap"as that,sod it,not gonna bother,save me dough and buy a 2nd hand leon/octavia and chip that bugger:D
Having read Chester's before and after thoughts and also speaking to Stu (utter_hatred) thier view seems to be that it is worth it and that whilst the number increase is not massive the driveability is better.
