Hi Flapper,

I'm about to take delivery of a new Leon Cupra & was wondering how much Amethyst charged for the carpet mats (with Leon badge) & mudflaps?

Also, I see someone on here has fitted the V6 "honeycomb" centre grille with the SEAT badge but not the 2 side grilles. Will they fit the std bumper (even if a little non-cosmetic mod is required)?
If so, what is the price for all 3?

Regards

Cheers Flapper, I guess the mats & flaps are X stock ,so I could pick em up when i'm next in the area.

I will wait 'till i've got the car to decide on the "honeycomb grilles 'cause I want all 3 but need to look at the fitting to see if it's within my capabilities to fit the side ones.

Thanks for your prompt reply.

Flapper -

the outers are fixed to the bumper (major job)

Is there a Heath Robinson style shortcut to fixing the 2 outer grills - eg. Glueing/Siliconing/No More Nails'ing them in place.

Do the 3 honeycomb grills for the Leon just come as 3 seperate pieces?

Centre = £12.60

Sides = Can't be much difference??

How long to get them in stock?

I'll be the guinea pig and I'll have a bash at fitting them myself. :hammer:

Also my Wolfrace alloy wheel centre badges are tatty. Do Seat do a stick-on "S" centre approx 50cm in dia.?

Thanks in advance.

thats the one , all the main difference is the lower horizontal part is a LOT smaller on a std bumper
:o

For the sake of £20 odd quid I'll take my chances. ;)

Can you let us know how you get on (with pics if possible), as I want to have a go as soon as I get my car.

Flapper's on the case and is awaiting delivery of the centre grill, he has the sides part in stock.

I'm going to try a "Plan B" method of fitting them.

I'll post a method update if fitting is successful and get someone else to take some piccies as some people here, quite correctly I might add, reckon that my photographic skills are not up to the necessary standard. ;)

A big box arrived today! :D

Flapper, you done me up like a kipper, well and truly.

Me and 3 of my elderly neighbours were outside and the delivery driver breezed up the path and in a very loud voice he asks -

"Ah, so you must be ................." !!!!!!!. :o :o :o

I got a few very strange looks and so I retreated quickly indoors muttering my excuses! :( :( :(

I'm waiting until after dark before I venture outside.
