The question is as it says at the top ?
None yet, but I suppose that means I'll get one soon :worry:
Me touches wood...
Zip, upgraded coilpacks fitted from the factory :p
I had 2 coilpacks go on 2 seperate occasions.
Now I've got all 'J' rev coil packs, so far so good (touches wood).
Good job really as I don't want my car off the road for another 3 1/2 weeks!
Me neither...........
OOOpppsss wrong thread!:D
I'll grab me coat...

None here too;) :D
march 02 ibiza - 25000 miles no coil pack problems...
Had loads of other things done under warrenty though :(
3-and yet they wouldnt replace the 4th untill it actually goes!
now where is the engineering sense behind that?!
Mark
(3 were all changed at the same time!)
Had my first one on 8.30am Monday morning a couple of weeks ago. The car was back on the road with all four packs replaced by 5.30pm the same day. I was pretty impressed, considering I got the use of a Leon courtesy car to boot.

they will replace it now.
the sense was that at one time they really didnt have the coils to replace them until they had broken.

Coil pack went on the way to work this morning thankfully only a mile from work, rang listers seat & they had them in stock took car 4 mile on 3 cylinders :help: left it with them, picked up in the afternoon with 4 modified ones on so should be no problem now fingers crossed
they will replace it now.
I found out the reason they old did 3 on mine was becaus it had already had the 4th replaced before i owned the car! the car has actually apparently had 2 packs go, one before i owned it and one while i owned it, they replace the one faulty one 1st time round, and the remaining 3 when i had one go! so i was wrong for moaning lol

Had my first experience of this problem today .. but not in my SEAT! Mine was in for new exhaust and brakes so I borrowed the A4 from the pool, pulled out the drive - though this was pants, noticed engine man light flashing.
Took it to the dealers and I was well impressed, got it in straight away and had all 4 coils replaced with the hour.
I'm just glad it happened it that and not mine and I couldn't see my local SEAT dealer fixing within the week.
Just had my second go this morning whilst I was on the way back from a mate's house - ended up cutting out completely at first in the middle of nowhere. Anyhow, it took the AA just under 2 hrs to get to me (how lucky am I to have this go 5am new years day morning ?) and they replaced the faulty one on the side of the road (much to my surprise) in about 5 mins. I just need to pop to the dealer tomorrow morning and get the fault light cleared as it would not clear with the AA's tool plugged into the OBD port.
Will almost certainly sell the car now in March/April a good 6 months before the 3 years is up, and the warranty runs out - just had enough of things going wrong with it over the past 2 years.

modified design, do a search and you will find a picture of old and new to help you identify.
Cost £10 each now, I believe they were £50/priceless last year when there were none in the country.
I was going to pay for four new ones, as my time is more important than £40, as garage does not replace unless you breakdown.
however, as luck would have it, garage discovered i had broken down just outside!, and got them on warranty. took 15 mins.

Neil thanks for the reply how and where do i search to get a pic?
Can I change my vote?
Had 1 go over Christmas. AA got to me within 20 minutes and towed me to Marshalls in Bedford. It was the weekend, so I left the keys with them with the promise of a phone call on Monday. Got the call at 10am, all fixed up with 4 new coil packs.
Top service, but a pain in the backside

if these packs are cheap enough it might pay to keep one in the glove box!:D :D

yes, cheap as chips now.
i cant see why people who dont have new design dont just carry one (althought i have heared about 2 going at once), even if the AA man has not used his spare, what price do you put on sitting by the side of the road waiting for him.
Search is one of the tabs up the top. just type coil packs - they have been mentioned a couple of times.
Scratch one more on the way home tonight - managed to limp it the couple of miles home - I will have the AA tow it into the garage tomorrow morning and have them run an emissions test on the exhaust too.

I had two fail seat changed the two faulty ones but they would not change the other two, barking mad wot. They would wait for you to brake down and have the added cost of towing you to the garage, fecin mental!
My mum's Ibiza Cupra hasn't had a coil failure yet. It's a 2002 02 model, but only has 7k on the clock.
