Hi all,

Is David Cook Motors in Oldham still in existence?

The phone number 0161 624 1441 gets me nowhere and email to them comes back as undelivered.

Anyone got any info. or different contact details?

Many thanks in advance

I'm sure DCM chain went bust or something like that. I think they re-appeared as David Cook Direct or something like that.

Shame if this is true..means I'll have to try Barnsley now, as all the other local dealers have proved themselves to be muppets....

I can vouch for the fact that Ted Johnsons in Barnsley are outstanding, they really can't do enough to help. I know its probably a long way for you but the service is the best from any dealer (SEAT or not) that i have used

Yeh they are not connected with the DC Cook group everyone thinks of, they are independent as Saul says.

Not heard anything myself, but seems to be a lot of the smaller independants are falling by the way side these days :(

Actually its not so bad for me..its only 45 mins over the hills, and by the time I've struggled thru the traffic, it would prob take me that long to get to Oldham.

The shame is that I only live 30 second from Bells, but the chances of me going there for work are about as high as me being killed by a fridge falling from a 10 storey building....(same as winning the national lottery, apparently!)

Only 3 mins down the road in woodley myself

:D good aint they, they are still badgering me to service a car with them, i no longer own.

Told them 3 times what i now drive, they said can we service it, when hell freezes over, id rather do it myself than let them rover monkeys near it.

THanks for the replies everyone.

Actually, the reason for asking is that we've bought a 2000 Toledo, ex. lease. The cars done 87K and has a lease company full service printout for all work as done by David Cook. Unfortunately David Cook Motors never stamped the service book and I'm thinking it would be nice to have the book stamped up hence my interest in contacting them.

Seems like I'll have to live with a bare service book unless anyones got any ideas!!

Thanks again
