I have just placed an order for my new Leon 20VT Cupra, which i will be collecting on the 2nd of September

My problem is now to find a reasonable insurance quote for the car, as will be using it as my Company Car!

Can any recommend any insurance companies, other than the obvious, Direct Line etc, that could provide me with a decent quote!

Many thanks in advance!

Hey there,

I spent ages shopping around and although mine is a private car I found that Tesco's had the best deal. And, they say if you stack it in the first year they replace the car with a brand new one!! Oh, and you get Clubcard points too http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/smile.gif

Me: 23, 5 year NCB, driving 6 years, no points, fully comp, protected Leon Cupra 20VT - 840quid...

Ciao - Rich

Lancaster insurance is also cheap. I have my Ibiza Cupra currently with Abbey National.

Magnus_Anderson,

If you don't mind me asking - how does your company get its cars?

The company I work for, get their company cars through Hertz. I ordered my Leon 20vt at the end of May, and the order keeps getting delayed and delayed. They have now told me mid-September for delivery. (See my thread about Hertz in the "Shite you Write" forum).

I am surprised (And happy for ya!), if your company can get your car by September 2nd, if you've just ordered it.

Stevo.

Sorry to here about that StevoWarby!!

Sorry, a little bit of confusion there! the company has given me a car allowance! I went in to my local dealership on Saturday (JCT 600 Leeds) Test drove one and put my order as soon as I got back from the test drive!! The Salesman was VERY helpful, didnt give a damn that i thrashed it down the county lanes (he thought it was quite funny!!) he said there was NO supply problems at all and i could have one within a week if i wanted one that soon, as long as i didnt want leather seats, which i didnt want anyway!!
i decieded to wait untill the new registrations came out!!

Just too think i nearly got a new Renault Laguna!!!

The Admiral 10 month scheme is good if you don't have much in the way of a NCB. You have to remember that the quote is only for 10 months so if you work it out over twelve it's not as competitive as some. I'm now with AXA Direct (web based), after being on the Admiral scheme for three years (30 months)! AXA Direct was around £200 quid cheaper and it's for 12 months this time.

Give Bell Direct a try as well.
Quoted £650 for my new Ibiza Cupra fully comp with protected no-claims.
23 years old,6 years ncb,no points.

Be wary of bonus accelerators, in the case of my old Cupra Sport 8v it was far cheaper to insure it for the full 12 months!!!

Did someone mention JCT 600? Look, this is only my opinion but i wouldn't give them the steam off my p*ss after the way they have treated me. I bought a cupra 8v with no part ex and the price seemed fantastic, but boy did i live to regret it,a catalog of faults too numerous to list here but included: dents, paint faults, trimfaults and no handover what so ever, when i complained i found the service manager/staff totally incompatent.Don't know if its just me but i have found ALL the SEAT dealers i've visited (4 so far) in my neck of the woods all very poor indeed, sorry to go on, but i just had to get it off me chest! SO BE WARNED
Regards, IAN

Got my Insurance sorted. I was tempted by Admirals Bonus Accelerator Scheme - £900 for 10 months based on being 25, 3yrs NCD (accumulated on a Company Car). BUT AXA went one better!! £850 for a full years insurance!!! http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/biggrin.gif

Which I didnt think was too bad considering I will be using it for Business use and doing 25K a year!!!
