View Full Version : Which front end ???
Well I'm looking to change the front bumper of my toledo to give it a sportier look. I was thinking of adding a front spoiler or swapping the whole thing for the MY03 front.
The fronts I've seen are from abt,ms-design, and zender.
Pic of the MS-design front spoiler:
Pic of the zender front end:
Abt one looks the neatest. MS Design and Zender ones look a tad over-fussy and a bit American. I'd also go Abt over the Cupra R/MY03 too because it's a bit more individual.
Personally I think the LCR might be a bit to agressive looking for the toledo.???? :dunno: :dunno:
:head:
On the Leon without a dought that the LCR kit is the way to go, but can't see looking that good with a boot...
Also worried that the other 3 will look to "added-on" and not blend in the OE MY03 front bumper.
As a side note, X-mas looks like it's going to be good to me!! I just ordered a set of technomagnesio em 18" for the toledo...

Ah yes, Fl@pper just reminded me of another reason why not to get the LCR front, no headlamp washer model.

Cheaper as well...
I think most of the Toledo/Leon front mods look too much like after thoughts. I dont think you could go wrong with a Cupra R bumper. mind you, need to colour code door strips.............
Any ideas on the back except the spoiler?
doesnt seem to be much about for the rear.
MY03 Cupra bumper. I personally think that the 03 Cupras look lovely with that kit, so I think you should go for that.
Good luck with whatever you choose!

Either MY03 or Cupra R. Saw a pic of a Toledo Cupra (which i presume never made it into production) in an old mag and it looked the dogs danglies. It had the MY03 Cupra bumper and skirts on it, don't know about the back end though
I already have the color coded door strips (actually all including F/R bumper ones). I also have got the side skirts. A while ago a special version was available in this country called the EVO.I could try picking up the rear bumper. Pics of the evo:
Rear bumper is tidy and deffo the way to go if you go for a MY03 or a Cupra R front bumper
Thanks for the helps guy's!:) :)
Just sent off the fax to the local dealer with MY03 front and EVO toledo rear bumper.
Lets just hope I don't die from sticker shock....:(
I know prices have gone up quite alot.

It's available here via the dealer... I can luckily get a 30% discount, but still have no idea on price though. Will hopefully have some news soon.
Oh my god..........that rear bumper (Evo) looks the muts nuts.....where can you get it from.....i have surfed and cant find anything like that!
Never saw the Toledo Cupra R piccies but given they are entering in next years BTCC (Bought time Seat!!) i may wait to see what they are bolting on the back of em!!!
I cant believe how good that bumper looks!!!:)
I'm trying to get a price on it, will post as soon as I have it.
Got a price on the front though..:(
FOK.... Price have really gone up, dealers asking 560Euros
Even with a 20% discount it's expensive.:(
Labor + painting = ouch
MY03 Paulo. Much smoother, not so fussy front-end. Discrete without the obvious 'aftermarket' look IMO. The others try too hard to stand out, if you catch my drift.
Hey Gareth, haven't see you around the forums for a while..
Yeah, I'm trying to avoid the aftermarket stuck on look. Price is a killer though.
Will probably just wait and get the MY03.
Thanks again everone!

Still here  logging in each day, but trying very, very hard not to get carried away with the modding. What with Bill's front brake upgrades & induction kits, Dangel's satnav system, s/s exhausts, new mobile phones, etc, a man could blow his entire fortune thanks to this website :o
Think of me as lurking in the background  ;)
P.S. I'm still thinking about the ECS Tuning front rotor upgrade. Perhaps next year...
Just a question for Andy or someone else who's done the swap, can we use the same foglights or do we have to pick up a different set?
Hi Paulo,
For replacement to MY03 bumper, the stock fog-lights are usable.
The other items that would need to be replace are :-
1) Side profile guide for attaching the new bumper
2) Horn bracket, somehow the old bracket doesn't fit
3) The hood-release catch, MY03 has a smaller pcs.
Hope this helps!
:D
Cheers
I've been having trouble tracking down the EVO rear end. Dealer couldn't get a part# or price. Have called the Ex seat importer and it seems that this was done locally in Portugal so no Seat part # is available..
I should be receiving an e-mail this week with the contact info of the company that actually made the rear bumpers. More news to come (I hope).
Go for Cupra R front bumper - look v.cool IMHO
thanks for trying to get info prc....
will wait in anticipation....;)
