View Full Version : vag login codes?
Does anyone know where I could find the VAG login codes for seat ibiza '95-'98 cupra & 1.8 ? (digifant)
thanks
To set various options in control module. You must have a valid login code before you can alter any data in the control module.

dealer. they wont just give you them either. they will want to do the code work.
Where do they have this? Is this somekind of document that they get from a factory or do they have this electronically .. (like ELSA)

My VAGCOM also asks for login codes for various settings.

There's two different things here, login code, which as said, generally only applies to things like getting a new key to work correctly, and recode settings, which can be used to alter things like how the central locking works. You don't need to login to recode most functions, using either a VAG tool or VAG-COM on a laptop.
I think it's called 'Code control module' on a VAG1551/1552 - the number you enter there is the same as the number you enter when you press the 'recode' button in VAG-COM for a specific module. I think the only difference is that VAG-COM lets you enter a workshop code, where this more hard-coded in the actual VAG tool.

And we might get a whole lot further if the original poster told us what he actually wants to do! :D

I don't have to log in to get access to my wifes Vag.
I find some choccys or flowers does the job.

He, like me probably just wants to know what you can do.
I have heard that you can enable cruise control (If you fit the stalk), and get it so that when you arm the alarm it automatically closes the Windows (On by default on Audis and off by default on Seats, apparently) etc. Just wondering what else you can do that I don't know about yet.

Hey there!
Yes BenS1 is correct, I guess I want to know what I can do/change on my car. I got the official VW factory manual for ABF engine so basically I got everything I wanted. (for digifant 3.0). If you for example want to login (to recode anything.. you need the login code for the control module - this was the thing I was asking ..)
btw, does anyone know the easiest way to get all the cables out of the engine compartment? I want to change all wires .. including the dashboard connectors, relay box.. everything. Will I be able to get them through the holes in the wall? Or do I have to disconnect the conenctors on the relay box and split them ?
Any ideas? :)

You can't enable total closure on the Ibiza Mk3, as it doesn't have the comfort module. I don't believe anyone has succeeded in retro-fitting it (it was never available for the Ibiza, so you'd have to get one from a different VAG car and make it work) but that doesn't mean it isn't possible, afaik. Likewise you can't get it to do other neat stuff like lock the doors when you drive off, which is a feature I'd really like.
There's not a lot it can do feature-wise on the Ibiza, it's more useful for fault diagnosis and measuring data. Which is a shame. On the Audi Allroad you can alter the ride height - how cool is that?!
