I know this has probably been asked before but are there any ecu mods that are warranty approved i.e done by SEAT themselves. My dad had his Saab chipped by a Sabb approved company.

I really want to up the power on my new car but don't want to have to cross my fingers everytime I take it for a service and they notice it has more power.

There are some SEAT approved chips available for 100, 110 & 115 TDI engines, but doesn't list the 130 TDI.
See below:-

I'm sure I seen a couple a guys on here that have chipped 130 TDIs from SEAT. I think the chips are supplied & fitted by ABT.

just get a tuning box and unplug it when it needs to go back in.

You can get the 130's chipped from new by Seat abroad, but there doesn't seem to be any sign over here yet.

I bought my Ibiza in Holland, and was offered a "155 Power Upgrade" which retains the warranty. The Seat dealer gets a tuning firm to fit the ABT chip prior to delivery.

155 bhp doesn't sound much, but myself and Niall both have the same chip and his RR'd at 172bhp. Not as high as the Revo/Jabba peeps I guess 'cos it's supposed to be a "safe" chip (although my clutch slips!) but certainly a whole lot of fun...

For now, if you're worried about your warranty, either get a plug in box and remove it before dealer trips, or Revo with the switching thingy.

As already mentioned the ABT chip is the only officially allowed chip.
You can always get the tuning box, or a stealthy revo remap done.

The dutch importer do the chipping in house, but the staff are trained by ABT and when there are problems ABT steps in. There was a whole bit about this in the seat magazine sent out by the importer here in holland. Not much news though for people who visit this forum.
