Howdy. I've been organising the Cambridge Tuesday club about once a month (one coming up on the 25th) and one of the problems is getting people to notice the thread.

Is there some way a 'calendar' or list of forthcoming events (say within the next month) could be stuck to the forum index or main site?

It'd be really helpful as not everyone searches for new threads when popping in and therefore miss out on the meets. It's likely such a list wouldn't ever be that big, so it would annoy most methinks!

we have discussed this and yes, one of the proposal's in our "new design" is to have a little calendar with the next two or three happenings for SCN members.

However, we need someone with php experience, so its on hold for a while, but its something we are very aware of

There's probably a way to include it on the forum index page as part of the forum contents, just dont know how that works

Thanks for listening ;) There's also a bug in the 'view new posts' function as it 'misses' some (like this morning it missed this thread and i had to hunt for it manually) posts which means you can end up learning about something waaay too late :(
