As above really, i though i would treat my car to some new wax. What wax would you recommend for a Platinum Grey car?
Thanks in advance

I use Victoria Concours wax ~ £30 a pot. Quality stuff, easy to use and gives a brilliant, long lasting finish.

Firstly sorry for my late reply Jim.
For Platinum Grey, I would head towards either Purple Haze or Blue Velvet from the standard Dodos or Juiced Edition or Supernatural if you up for spending a little more.
I'd also consider the Mark V coach wax (really easy to use, very durable and looks really wet) or even IP100 which is a sealant rather than a wax but does look very good on silvers and darker greys.

Got to agree with you on sealant front. I have been using Track Claw Racing Polish which is a sealant, not a polish at all. Forget the American hype about the product, what you need to know is it's easy to use, leaves a glassy finish rather than deep colour that looks really nice on platinum grey, and is amazingly durable if you use a quality shampoo like Dodo's Born to be Mild.
Having said that, I might be tempted at going for Purple Haze Pro. Next time I need some Dodo stuff, I'll be sure to send the order your way RB.

Thanks for the advice guys, some great suggestions, i will do some research in to each and get my self shopping a list together... i definitely like the idea of a wet look finish!
I'm picking my car up from the paint shop later today after some stupid women decided to reverse into the front of car, so i will be be definitely be in the mood for some serious cleaning. Now the weather has well and truly turned i need to winter prepping my car, just need to stop up on cleaning products. I will give send you a PM Rubbish Boy nearer pay day to order a few bits and pieces.
Once again thanks for the advice chaps!
If you are looking for a good seal for the winter collinite is awesome stuff last right through to spring. Also its the preperation of the paint that gives the real bling.Wash, clay clean, seal and wax.
Hi Ben, just placed an order (under the name Mark, posting to Sibson). Look forward to using some slightly different stuff. Cheers.
Sod it, just placed another as I'm getting to be a total Dodo addict! Might as well start on machines too. The Need for Speed is for the bike, gets it done nice and quick. Can't wait to try it when it gets warmer.
Thanks in advance...

Used purple haze pro from Rubbish boy (after super mild shampoo and AG super resin / Bilt hamber clay) with Absolutely awesome results - still beading really nicely with a deep shine 2 weeks later

Only if you want to. :) There are colour specific waxes but they don't alter the colour of the paint or anything, their effect is very subtle. Some waxes/products suit some colours better then others because of the effect they have, for instance silver doesn't tend to look particularly wet or warm and differences in waxes don't tend to show up, a synthetic sealant though can enhance silver more than a wax because they tend to have a glassy look which brings the sparkle out in a silver.
