Hi all forum members - new member here!
Having had a couple of VAG cars, I have taken the plunge and ordered myself a new Exeo ST.
Previous VAG cars were Passat Sport 140TDI and Octavia Vrs 170 pd. Both were decent cars with that planted VAG feel about them.
Having just changed jobs I have been in the fortunate position of choosing a new company car. I looked at the following cars:
Passat Estate Highline Plus - this didn't have the same feel as my previous Passat. I think that VW have lost the plot with the latest model line-up. If I could have got hold of a new Sport model I would have been very tempted. Even the Highline Plus, which is top of the range doesn't come with dual zone climate as standard!
Audi A3 Sportback Black Edition - loved the looks of the car and the spec but....way too expensive and slightly too small now. In some ways I am glad it's out of my price range as I know I would have ended up cursing myself whilst trying to squeeze wife/kids/prams in!
I am currently driving an Insignia hire car which is miles better than the Vectra's which I have been in before. It just lacks that..............VAG feel.
So, today I have been and ordered a Black Magic ST SE Lux TDI 170, all standard, and (luckily for me) have been told I should have one for the end of the month.
Well impressed with the spec and (Audi) interior.
I will keep you posted when it lands and keep checking in on the forum to see what's happening.
Ciao,

welcome in pal
Hi Guys,
Again im new here, and have too ordered an Exeo ST Sport
Again in Black Magic but went for the thirsty TSI 200... it was a compromise with the wife, she wanted the space and i wanted the speed...
I dont commute anywhere near as much as i used to so didnt really need to worry about the Mpg as much as i used to as i work from home majority of the time now.
Not sure what to expect from the TSi as i only test drove the 170 TDi which went really well...
so ive purchased this a little blind so im hoping the performance is there. Cant wait, had a leather upgrade to as i fine baby sick wipes off easier.... but was very impressed with it....
ive been an Audi driver mostly, so to find this which is considerably cheaper and every bit as good, was fantastic !!!
ive had the call to say its been made and is currently just outside Barcelona waiting transport...
so will be here by the end of the month....
not long to wait.....
Cheers
James
Welcome both of you. I'll be interested in hearing your tales of ownership. So far I'm pretty pleased with mine (Black Magic Exeo ST 140SE)

Pleased to hear that Cbeal. I'll be sharing my experiences of ownership... as soon as I pick up mine. So far I'm an "owner in waiting".
I am going to keep an eye on how you both get on with your new wagons as I am seriously considering one too!!!
I am tempted now to see if I can get the sports springs retro fitted. 17" wheels and 225/45 tyres have plenty of a grip, but may be a little stiffer would suit me better. But it is very nice and comfy (and less wollowy than the Passat I ran for a while)
**** UPDATE ****
Its arrived at the dealership... im picking it up tuesday .... Im so impatient !!
Like a kid at christmas.... I WANT IT NOW !!!
Cheers

Hi guys! I'm pleased to hear from excited new owners! Do share your experiences / thoughts, etc.
It sounds to me like my Exeo was on the very same boat! I'm due to pick up mine early next week. Will update you all then.
Picked it up today ... love it....
fantastic car... ive got an Exeo ST sport TSI 200ps ... in Magic Black.....
had the optional lowered sports suspension and upgraded to black leather interior...
the build quality is superb, really solid... and looks the business.... over the moon with it
it drives fantastic, really quiet... and plenty of power... lovely and smooth...
only done a handful of miles so will update again when ive done a good road test...
but all in all i couldnt be happier with it ...
Cheers

Hi guys,
I've picked mine up on Monday. Shame about the weather. Really pleased with the car so far; there are a few niggles (the dealer experience was far short of what I expected), but nothing to spoil the joy and excitement of a new car.
Build quality is really good – further proof that it’s an Audi deep down. BOSE stereo is fantastic – worth the extra if you’re into your music. Lovely engine too; got the 2.0 TDI CR 143 BHP; very precise gearbox and the lumbar support is a real plus for me especially on long journeys.
I’m running the engine in - even though they all say it’s already run in. Have already done 400 miles in less than a week; hope to break the 50 mpg “barrier” soon on the combined cycle.
More soon.
Happy Easter to all and happy EXEO-motoring!

I have just placed an order for a Exeo ST SE 143 in Black Magic on Saturday. Can you tell me if yours came with locking wheel nuts? I am not sure if it is a standard item on the car.
Cheers

Sorry for the late reply Thyper. Yes, it does come with locking wheel nuts as standard.

I just wanted to say hi so "hi"
I had a A3 2.0 TDI 143bhp Sport DSG and spent the best part of 3 months looking for a new car. Nothing wrong with my A£ i had it for a few years and fancied a change although i really miss the car as it was very nice. Anywya, I didnt have my sights set on a specific type or purpose of a car just one i liked the look of but quality was a must. For this reason i stuck witht VAG and stayed clear of anything french lol.
In the end i test drove the VW Tiguan, the A5 and the A4. All of them had the same 2.0 TDI CR 170 engines. VW and Audi were coming out with stupid prices of £28k to £36k and i decided to wait till sept to see what was brought back. The sales staff hated that.
On the way home i thought of SEAT and decided to call in. I saw the Exeo and thought wow thats nice i looked at the specs and was in awe of the standard equipment on the SE LUX the slaes guy found my a SEAT stock car with 4.8%apr and 2 years free servicing, 10 months old and 6k miles at half the price of the A4 so i put a deposit down and had it. I am so impressed at the value for money and the quality of the car. There are a few things i would change on it like a bit better styling on the front and led day lights like on the newer Audis oh and nicer twin exhaust pipes but im knit picking now lol. I just hope its as good as the A3 i got rid of.
