Does oil go off? I found a tin of Motul 300V 5W40 in my shed - will it be ok to use if it has sat for a couple of years?

The oil doesnt, but the additives can. Shelf live is usually around 5years if sealed and even then thats an ass covering exercise from the oil companies.
