Perhaps you've got the 'oldest' mk3 Beezer on site?
Maybe we should refer to model by chassis number like the Polo peeps do (especially in Germany) eg. 6N & 9N etc. Just to confuse ourselves even more!!!

Boring story but more or less on topic: About 16 years ago whilst still a teenager I bought a Sept 1980 Scirocco mk1 GTi but had a hell of a job trying to insure it as all they had listed for that year were a GLi or GLS(1600 carb.) and the GTi was listed as 1981 only, that being the model year. Ended up having to insure it as a 1981 car as their computer wouldn't recognise it otherwise.
Hammered the pants off that car and boy did it rust.

Sure

My old 1.4 of Aug 1994 was a 6N, and so are yours.

i went by majority year, as there are some (few) X plate mk2's
