View Full Version : Oettinger to REVO
anyone know if this is possible, as i think they took out a chip and put a new one in
You will require the standard chip back they took out, which really they should of given back anyway, or alternatively a new ECU.
Pricey for a new ECU though, i know i bought one so i could replace my Oettinger chip on my old Leon.
REVO do have some EPROMS at their HQ, so you may not need a new ECU.
Give them a ring 01327 301 901 and tell them your situtaion, thye'll advise accordingly.

REVO won't flash over an encrypted board like Oettinger.
There is a plattern fitted to your ecu and the Oettinger chip is in that, and then siliconed in place...
You may find that removing the chip to resolder the OE one (assuming the OE one won't just plug in again - solder damage on pins), that the silicone goop will make this resoldering risky... to the extent they might not want to even try for fear of damaging the ECU.
