Pickd up a a 59 plate Exeo 143 TDi yesterday. It has only done 5k miles, but the dealer advice is at odds with the service diplay regarding service interval, long term vs fixed.

How can I find out for sure??

Cheers.

Have a look at your data sticker (square sticker in the boot or first page of the service book)

If you see the code QG1 amongst the list it was programmed for variable servicing iof it says QG0 then it was coded for fixed. As long as the dealer havent changed it then it will still be the same.

Are Seat moving over to the variable service regime now then? They've been on standard 10k interval up til now.

The Exeo is available on fixed or variable servicing, only if it was built after Week 20 (2009) ;)

As techie has stated above, the coding on the sticker in the boot will tell you, unless the dealer has changed it.

My '59 Exeo is on fixed ONLY servicing, due to being built in Week 7, so it isn't possible to change it to variable :( Despite what I was told by the dealer when I bought it......

Great.

I'll check it out.

QG1 it is :)

So it has the oil condition sensor fitted then??

Thanks for the reply :)

Hmmm.... will check the coding on mine at lunch.... see if what I've been told by the dealer is correct.... ;)

Haven't got either QG1 or QG0 on my boot sticker

Only ones that look similair are 1G1 and QD1......

Just found the following info with ref to the 'PR' Codes:

QG0 without service interval prolongation
QG1 service interval prolongation
QG2 no possibility of activating service interval prolongation
QG3 without service interval prolongation, without service reminder

Interestingly, mine hasn't got any of them

Crikey mate.

Its usually me that has the strange codes on my car!

Out of interest, where did you pick up the info from??

Best Regards

Will find the link again.... 2mins ;)

This is where: http://forums.audiworld.com/a4/msgs/2268385.phtml

Not sure how up to date it is, in terms of having recent codes used on the Exeo..... although they're probably quite generic

SEAT UK have Confirmed Techies comments about extended interval servicing on my car.

I now have written proof if there is any comeback from the dealer!

Many thanks mate, you're a star!

 good news ;) Just goes to show that some dealers aren't always 'in the know' so to speak.

My general rule of never trust a salesman stands up to scrutiny once again!

The salesman thought the the Exeo had a transverse motor:D

The Sales Manager at the dealers i bought mine from, also thought it was transverse when I asked him about it ;) It was only when the Sales guy who actually dealt with me, popped the bonnet, that I realised it wasn't

I had my Exeo serviced yesterday. From factory, it was on "long Service", but I asked my dealer to change it to 10k servicing. Darn service indicator now says "---days or --- miles"
Thats really useful now!!
Anyone know how to reset it( I found out how to do my old Leon, but I found it by accident!!)

It will do until its reconfigured itself.
