View Full Version : mk2 8v standard ride height
I'm trying to work out exactly how much my Bilstein kit has lowered my car. I think the claimed 40mm drop is a bit of a porky.
Would anyone with a standard 8v be willing to measure the distance from the ground to the centre of the wheel arches, so I can compare with mine?
Cheers.
my old ibiza was nearer 60 mm on billies steve, dunno if the 1.816v was any different weight wise ,same kit afaik:cheers:
Yeah I'd be interested to measure it as I'm sure is lower than 40. My front splitter is pretty much non existent now after the number of times I have scrubbed it on the pavement/drive/speedhumps.
be interesting to know what car they develop the kits on,1.4 would prolly only drop 40 mm where as a 2ltr16v with air, abs, etc would weigh more at the front

keeping car completely standard for ever !! tried to get a mk1 golf GTI? you never know it could be a future classic ha ha
Cheers for that. I'll measure mine again tommorrow to compare. I know the front is less than 590mm, can't remember about the back though.

always thought it was funny, as ibizas are quite rare round our parts, and also the fact that the private plate has my name in it and my birth year i believe?? strange!!
