Finally got round to getting the strut brace fitted to my Mk4 TDI Sport
Initial feelings are that there is very little difference. Steering still feels same, but the suspension does feel a bit more supple, almost like some air has been let out the tyres. So ride has been improved a little. Haven’t had chance to drive the car hard, weather does not permit right now.

Worth spending £50 on, but don’t expect I huge change, if nothing else it looks better when you lift the bonnet. :)

Also fitted lamp covers, they are pretty good idea, considering the cost of a new lamp unit. I would defiantly recommend them, not least the hassle to would cause to change the unit.

No, its the 5hitty Bridgestone ER30s on the front wheels in the wet, poor visibility, extended braking zones that put me off. You know as well as anyone i can punt a car down a road at reasonable speed if the fancy takes me.

Cheeky barsteward ye old git!!!

You should be able to feel it on round-about's a bit more. If you don't notice a big difference it's because the chassis is already quite rigid.

Agree that the ER30 suck...

My strut brace made quite a difference to the feeling of the steering, more responsive.

But I have also upgraded to 17" wheels and Koni/Eibach suspension (but did drive it before I fitted the strut brace on modded suspension).

Also got toyo tyres which I think are good for the price.

Maybe i just got one that was pretty stiff to start with, the ride def seems more plient, as i say its been raining all the time so lots of understeer so chassis is not really being tested anyway.

I got it fitted to make way for the new suspention coming tomorrow anyway.

Now all i need is that 240bhp upgrade and i will be happy.. Well till i finally get that 350T :D
