do the plugs get changed on a 20k service ? not sure if mine were done ? paid £114 for it .
It should say on the service sheet/receipt?
says .
carry out 20,000 mile inspection service as per manufactures schedule £78 . 75p
then below it says
oil filter £4
filter £6.99
consumable charge £4.95
enviromental charge £2.50
no metion of plugs or oil ? i know it had synta gold so thats ok , but seems strange not to mention plugs ? don't really want to take one out as it looks a pain .
Doesn't seem like they were changed. All my old SEAT receipts list all the items changed.
I thought they did , but Seat changed it to 40k miles ( according to my local dealer when I had mine serviced ) . Your service was a lot cheaper than mine as well , I paid £135 for a 20k service .

No they weren't . Just looked in the service book and it says : spark plugs every 20k on 1.8 20V-T engine , code AQX and same again for 40k service , is AQX the engine code as mine is an AYP ??

it is diffrent , same as mine ! but i want to know why the same plugs "have looked" can go another 20k on what is basicly the same engine . also a cam belt will last 120k on a ayp but only 60k on a ayp .belts are also the same part number

Hi. I think the Spark Plugs are made of Platinum tip or something. More expensive to replace but last longer between chnges required, I think 40,000 Miles.

Martin, plugs only get changed at 20k on the AQX engine code as neil mentioned.
40k for the AYP ;)
same part number though .
