service intervals on ayp code

just asked down my local dearship if they chanhed the plugs on my 20k service and they said no .

the reason they gave was that it is only required on a aqx engine code , but the plugs are the same on both engines "we checked" they then rang seat uk as i thought 20k was the right time . the reply was no they get changed every 40k as it is a ayp engine code . this seems very high and also they said a cam belt is every 120k on my engine but every 60k on a aqx !

what is going on ?

in my experience, it's better to change stuff before you need to.

very true mate , thats why im gona stick some plugs in on sat . and get the belt done at 60k . i just want to know what other people had done on the ayp's on a 20k service .
