I was told that I should put some silicon grease on my forge's spring and on the sides every 10.000 km ==> aprox 6500 miles.

Is it true?

Bill?

Have a nice weekend

I would strip them periodically and clean and relube them. The lube should be a synthetic grease which won't get cooked or go off. Silicon should'nt go off.

You wont get more power from a DV, but better throttle response usually, better pick up thru the gears, even on standard non chipped cars.

Though they do require periodic maintenance to keep them working well, a guide is here provided by Forge Motorsport who manufacture them. http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/showthread.php?threadid=26644

They are around £80 i think, but check the forums some people are sometimes selling them on cheap.

They do come in Black, and many places supply Forge products.

I'd give Bill (IbizaCupra) Badger 5, a call, and claim a 5% discount as a SEATCupra.Net member.

Silicon grease can be found as bike grease in halfords. Temp range is appropriate too.

If you have a chip you will get aprox. 10hp because your serial one is leaking. Otherwise it only gives you better throttle response, holds up boost better and when you put your foot off the throttle the car will not stall.
