I am thinking about changing the standard fit 18" Fenix 5 spokes on the ST Sport for something a little more to my own taste. I have put both Seat & Audi into eBay & all you get in the A4 replacements. If I was to put them on it, that would almost make it look like an A4, I didnt want to do that. However, I do like the Seat accessory wheels (in anthracite).
Anyone seen these Seat wheels in the flesh & tell me their thoughts on changing to these??

Not posted here before but am a VAG fan and my Exeo ST is my first Seat. Great cars, shame about the dealerships are my first impressions, though even the VW dealer im my locale, Aylesbury, was going downhill when I was having my Passat serviced there.
I whacked two of my Fenix 5 spokes on a pothole and was staggered at the replacement cost - £330 per wheel. Even the nice anthracite official Seat accessory wheels can be had for £145 each. So, if you do decide to change them and want to offload your old ones then do let me know.
Does your Exeo have the extended service regime by the way? I think mine does but the dealer insists that its a fixed 10,000 mile service interval.

Is that £330 per wheel incl tyres?? I hope so!!
I am quite set on the Anthracite ones in the parts brochure. As you said, £145 ea, but I have got a good price on them, should I commit to buying them.
If I do, then I will sell all 4 including tyres.
PM me and we can carry on with discussions.
Oh, by the way. My cars computer says its on long service interval, but my dealer in Northampton insists all Seats are on 10k service intervals. To do with long life oil, I believe. I would want a service every 10k anyway.
Had mine serviced, now the service indicator wont show how many miles till next service! Told dealer to reset it to 10k intervals, but its thrown a wobbly! Its going back soon to have a new steering wheel fitted, they will look at it then

Have gone for some aftermarket alloys as a cheaper alternative =- need them in a hurry as I have thousands of miles to do in the next few weeks. £330 was less tyres, by the way!

What type of wheel did you choose?
My alloys are mint. I have never kerbed them, or the Goodyear tyres, just in case you was wondering!

I'm in Aylesbury as well :)
Have a look on the option sticker under the Boot carpet. Look for the Following.
QG0 without service interval prolongation
QG1 service interval prolongation
QG2 no possibility of activating service interval prolongation
QG3 without service interval prolongation, without service reminder
Mine is QG1.
Its a Deisel by the way.

Back to my original post about wheels..
Decided I am changing them for Seat accessory ones. At the end of may I will do the swap over.
I am going to put on Goodyear F1's on, same as factory supplied. Original ones have lasted well and still have plenty of life on them.
What other tyres does Seat fit as standard??

Just a quickie, has anyone used rim waxes or sealants on thier alloys? If so, are they any good and how often does it need to be applied?

Goes on really easily, and buffs up easy to. I tend to apply it once every 3-4 washes, and find it's so easy to clean the dirt/brake-dust off in between times ;)

Hi, totally agree with you. The Exeo ST is my first Seat - my first car really; the dealer was a bit of a letdown, but I got the best price, so something's got to give I guess.
I've had the same: dealer insisting I stick to the fixed 10k service interval - funny that; had it on long live servicing in the end as I don't do that many miles, no commuting to work at all.
PS: sorry I've diverged from the original topic of alloys.
Original fenix 18" alloys are now off the car. SEAT anthracite ones are now on. Await garages phone call to get the old tyres exchanged for brand new Goodyear Eagle F1's. The original wheels will look good on a dark colour motor, but I didnt like them on my grey car. Not sure how to get pics onto here, but if an administrator PM's me, I can give you before & after pics to post on here via e-mail

One thing you might want to check is if the bolts of your new rims fit on your spare wheel in the trunk.
I guess that if you replace the original rims with new ones from Seat the bolts are the same.
Recently I replaced the original 17-inch rims of my Exeo with new Dezent alloy rims. These rims came with different bolts that don't fit my spare wheel.
So I have to keep an extra set of bolts in my car for the spare wheel.
All OEM alloys are radius seated, and the majority of after-market allys are tapered seated, so Stu's new wheels will use the same bolts as his original ones ;)
As the new alloys are genuine SEAT ones, the bolts are the same.

Very observant!! Yes front grille is from the Seat accessories book too. I put the chrome boot trim on & the gloss glack steering wheel too. Thats very nice, much nicer to hold than the standard wheel. Dealer fitted it for £60, bout an hour.
Well, got my new tyres from my local garage. When I gets them home, I washes & polishes them, ready to sell. Its then I notice the balance weights are the originals, and not one new set to be seen on any of the 4 rims. I rings the garage. They called me back after talking to the "technican" (!) who did the job. I was asured they had balanced them, and were "spot on". Now, call me a old cynic, but I took the wheels to the garage that fitted the tyres to my new rims. Lo & behold, all 4 needed balancing. Funny that eh! So, a "recall for new tyres" means just that, nothing else.
Feel an e-mail to said garage with a scanned copy of the invoice I got for evidence will be heading to garage very soon....
Out of curiosity is this car in Luna grey?
