Thinking about new exhaust, Supersprint as during annual service small pinhole was found in exhuast.

Whats the difference between getting the centre silencer and the cat bypass pipe?

Dont bother with the CAT bypass pipe, IMO, i had been running one for nearly a year and have just had to buy a new CAT to get the car through its MOT. The do make the exhaust sound 'fruitier' but you wont really notice any gains. Spend the money elsewhere. You may want to get a silenced center section as mine isnt and can get a bit noisy on motorways or long drives. This is just my opinion though so no flames please! :D

I agree, I had the catback system (just a piece of pipe really!) and it made the car sound awesome - unfortunately when driving 70 odd miles down the motorway, being unable to hear your normally thumping stereo, the noise turns from awesome to 'I want an electric car with 0 noise emissions'
So I got a mk2 escort rally resonator pipe welded in and its made the exhaust have loud noise only on throttle, and it doesn't boom at speed (it also pops and crackles now!), and it doesn't seem to have lost any power.
If you have a decent silencer backbox it may be different, as my Rage exhaust (ahhh that's why they called it that!) is basically a straight thru box.
