Just to see if there is anything in the engine code and the amount of power developed, can everyone reply with their car type, engine code and chip type and peak BHP figure,

So mine is:-

Leon, AUQ engine code, Upsolute chip, 211BHP

20VT

Both mine are engine AUQ - it just means that it's an Audi engine block as far as I'm aware. The VWs use a different code.
MY2002 feels like it's got slightly more spunk than MY2001 :p
I think I read somewhere that VW and/or Audi where using slightly better turbos this year....

Could be due to different exhaust system between 2001/2002

Mines a AUQ engine, but no chip, no rolling road done lads

Hi Mic,

On some tuning company's website's, they say 2000 model leons(180), will give 195 bhp on basic ecu change, but on 2001 models they can get 210 bhp with same basic chip change, why is that?

is about the hybrid turbo stuff, your talking about?

Not sure about the Leon, The Upsolute chip give's 212 on the older Leon's. I'm not yet looked at the part numbers on the SEAT turbo's etc to see weather they are the same as the new VW unit's.

The golf 1.8T's old 98-00 was 193-195Bhp, but with this new type of charger we are getting 210+Bhp,

It looks like there are going to be a lot of changes over the next 6 months with the VAG engines, new parts etc
VW are mainly modifiing there deisel range at the moment with the arrival of the new 150PD engine, produces 320Nm of torque as standard, compair this with a 235Nm which the LEON 1.8T produces (standard).
