Hello,

I'm jumping on the Seat band wagon, and i'm gonna be looking at a couple of Cupra R 225's on a '03' or '04' plate this weekend.
I'm not a mechanic but i do have a basic knowledge of cars.

Please could anyone help me by letting me know anything I should be looking out for, anything that would make me avoid the buy?

When should the cam-belt, and water pump be changed. Is it every 60,000 miles??
What are the signs if it hasn't been changed??
Servicing every 10,000 miles or a year??

If the cars been modified, lowered etc., what should I look out for if its been bodged or starting to fault hence the sell??

I don't want to come across as being a tard, but I'd rather be prepared and be a little bit clued up, rather then not having a clue and getting mugged up 7 or 8K.
