Took my car in today to get my new steering wheel fitted. I was called to one side by the service manager who said that my car was subject to a recall.
Thinking the worse, I asked what was wrong. I was told that as my car had Goodyear Eagle asymetricals fitted, they were, when fitted new to my car, subject to a manufacturing fault. As such, Seat are going to replace all four tyres under the recall free of charge, regardless of wear. I asked what would I get, thinking cheap & nasty, but I was highly delighted to be told it was "like for like".
So, in a couple of weeks I will have 4 unused Goodyears fitted to my unmarked fenix 5 spokes...
Shame really - I'm going to sell them now, as my new rims are ordered, as are the new tyres to fit them!! Anyone looking for 18" rims, you know where to come!
