This year my other half wants us to take the bikes with us on holiday. The little ones bike will fit in the boot, but I still need one to go on the roof. I have the normal roof bars, what else do I need to get a bike secured on there?
I can see Thule have a viable option, but as always it costs an absolute fortune. Are there any options that fit more within my budget, IE as cheap as possible? My first thoughts were just standard ratchet straps with the bike laid down, but I would expect a nice pedal shaped scratch in my roof by the end of the journey.
