As mentioned in another thread, I was planning to swap the head unit position for the 'tray' thing, to make the head unit sit directly above the climate control
This is well worth doing, as now I can use the cupholder and change cd's/see what buttons i'm pressing on the stereo at the same time. Previously you had to remove you item from the cupholder, do the cd change and then extend the cupholder again to replace your drink.
Pictures are attatched.
One downside though: the tray won't fit into the top DIN slot without being turned upside down, this means that you end up with no lip on the front edge of the tray to stop stuff flying out of it! (I'm not bothered as I never use it anyway!) However, one plus point to this is that by turning the tray upside down, the slats in the normal top surface of the tray now back onto the head unit for extra cooling :)
