got my car remapped yesterday at jabbasport and then did a 300 mile journey to see how it went:
completely standard 1.8t ibiza, 10,000 miles, tesco blue and white striped own brand petrol.
199bhp @ 6548RPM
163bhp @ wheels
222lb'ft torque @3697 RPM
Terminal speed 134MPH @ 6680 RPM
Mike mapped it so that there is a progressive rather than sudden build up of torque so that you can drive it in the wet, which suits my driving and when i get a scan of the torque you will see it falls failrly sharply, giving excellant torque and poweraround the midrange meaning less reving.
we did see 210 BHP on one run but backed the boost down a bit as it was overboosting and i don't want to kill the motor.
Fantastic difference and Mike did a great job, thouroughly recommended for £330 as it is adjustable to your requirements and further upgrades.
On the road it is like a different car - cruising @90MPh on the motorway, floor it and you just fly.
Had a tangle with a scooby turbo, he overtook me unexpectably so i thought i best chase after him - coming out of a roundabout in 2nd gear i lived with him up to 120mph (more or less straight road) when we had to slow for a tight corner - at the next roundabout he slowed right down to look at the car, probably wondering what had happened.
Trouble getting the power down in 1st, 2nd and for the first time ever saw the TCS flicker in 3rd.
