View Full Version : Silver coloured dashboard trims?

Does any Seat parts people out there know where I can obtain a silver/grey radio surround, you know the part that surrounds air con and radio controls for my Leon Cupra. The one I test drove last year, a car from Seat UK, had this trim fitted and we were told that it was an optional extra. Interestingly What Car magazine (Dec 2000) are currently running a Leon Cupra with some "silver coloured trim (cost £140)". I cannot find any reference to these in Seat accessory brochures and nobody at Seat UK seems to know anything about them. I have seen some aluminium coloured trims to fit an Audi A3 which is similar but not exactly the same, these were in Eurocar parts brochure.
Does anybody know if there are any good dealerships in the Yorkshire/Lancashire area as we have visited four in our area (a radius of 45 miles) and have found that they are all cr*p!

I've got a Leon 20VT on order for Sept delivery, with the silver trim kit, cost is about £80.00 (don't know if this is ex or incl VAT), apparently, it can be ordered from the parts department of any dealer.

They do a carbon fibre finish one as well which looks a bit more in tune with the rest of the car.... Sorry to offend anyone who's got one but it looks like you got a can of spay and done it in the garage!!!

yeah,the trim i saw was only round the radio/heater and to be honest looked a bit crap in dull grey but the ones in castle coombe pics look much more like genuine bits.
I have seen these trims on an Audi A3 but in wood effect and i noted that they are also available in carbon and silver at around £70+VAT its just a matter of finding them for the Leon, as i find the dash colour dull as dish water! ive got one of the kits in now , silver for climatronic , it consists of the panel from cupholder down to ashtray and the centre tray up to and around the gearstick incl the diag socket cover ,these appear to be GENUINE parts that are painted???? in a satin silver paint ??? http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/frown.gif might look ok but why not pay to have it done in the cars own colour instead ??? http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/wink.gif
