Noooo!

All you'll do is increase the boost without increasing the fuelling.

Not good! runs lean = hot = melty

Works on R5GTT's & old skool turbo's - but not the fussy 20vt's

I have just had a thought!

I'm more than likly gonna get revo'ed so I should be able to up the fueling a bit? and get the advantages of the boostvalve?

Am I way of the mark here?

Kris

If going REVO why bother with an MBC/Dawes device?

Add more boost without allowign more fuel to go with it in the right ratio is risking valve gear damage (burnt) or worse melting things as it runs lean. The 20VT motor is not tolerant of running lean on high boost.

Be careful.
If in doubt, leave it to the people who do this for a living, REVO, Jabba etc....

Hi,

Sorry man, I've got something similar already which I robbed off an old test fixture at work. It's crude but works. Sure somebody will snap this up. Tried www.rallyusedparts.co.uk ?

i think "Ric" should take it back. the VW 1.8T engine is not exactly rare! he should have known it's not suitable
