Well i came to the conclusion today, (after nearly loosing it on a 20mph corner at 20mph, rear end tried to get out beside me!!) that i badly needed new tyres so went to my usual bloke and he happened to have the dunlop tyres in stock, bargain 48 quid each all in!
so far ive done 15 miles on em but wet driving, what can i say, sooo much better than pirelli boggy standard ones, they quickly got shifted to the back to make way for the dunlops!!
HOORAY FOR DUNLOP, time will tell if they are as good as the yokos!!

stevie, do you know where i was?? if you go down to the bottom of the ormeau road, stay on right lane and keep on til you get to the old bt building where you turn right to go up to central station, that corner, red tarmac was really greasey!!!!!! wasnt expecting it, was in third for fecks sake!! then ooohhh shit, quick bit of smooth reverse steering and straightened up, just as well cause there a metal railing along the outside of that corner!!

also looks like a dodgey area from experience, hoods etc, also they have loads of gay nights so you really dont want to wander into it without knowing exactly whats going on that night!!

Brendy, i guess you missed the Driven special on worn rear tyres.... look for the ideo clips on www.4car.co.uk. Basically they demonstrate that if you have some part worn tyres and some brand new ones then the brand new ones hould always go on the rear and the part worn ones on the front, despite common opinion.

They show a wet corner and go round it with the part worns on the front with just a bit of understeer but maintain control, but with the part worn tyres on the rear the front grips but the back slides.... the result is loss of control and a 360!!!!

See it for yourself on the website.
