Hello everybody!

Has anyone with a 16v (an 8v would do i guess) ever corner weighted their car? I'd like to know what the std front /rear & LH / RH distribution is? Also if anyone has done this to a stripped and caged car then thats good as well?

I'm sure that SEAT quote a number, but you never know how many passengers / lugage / fuel this is with, and typically they bias it towards the more idea 50/50 end by having a boot full of lugage etc!

Cheers,

Paul

Right, finally remembered:

1996 2L 16V

Front passenger - 763lb
Front driver - 850lb
Rear passenger - 439lb
Rear driver - 483lb

215lb driver sat in car (not me by the way but near my weight)

NO driver but fully fuelled = 1052kg
With driver in car:
50.5% diagonal
47% left
53% right
64% front
36% rear

Rake was 18mm bias to rear - not wise to go anymore as affects aero.

This was 1.5yrs ago, car was semi-stripped (no rear seats or trim), no air con, but with cage fitted - battery was still at front. Have taken >50kg out since then and moved some weight rearwards.

Plan to get on scales again before start of this season - will keep you posted.

Cheers

I don't supose you have a definative lap time for any circuit, ie cadwell etc. i'm just setting up a dynamics model for my chassis and i wanted to kinda just check the numbers on a modified but still fwd 'beeza?

you're running about 220 bhp at flywheel?
