heater bulbs have gone in my mk2 prised one of the nobs to have a quick look but not sure what to do next
help please :cheers:
Had to replace mine not long ago...
Prise off the rectangular plate surrounding the knobs
Undo the four screws securing the panel with the knobs on
You then need to wiggle the whole thing around until you can pull it out of the dash. It's quite fiddly and you need to try and pull it through sideways.
The bulb is in a white plastic holder thing on the back of this panel and is easy to change

thanks i'll have a bash tommorow after the headache has gone
just to add.to get the heater panel out,push it in,then tilt the top down towards you then ease it out forwards in between the screw holes.i broke off two of the screw holders trying to squeeze it out.
BE CAREFUL,its rather tight,the light is a tiny little bugger and sends its light through a clear plastic lense thingy,this also is as flimsy as fcuk,i broke this also and never really got the light back properly afterwards.:(

It is indeed a squeeze. I think I managed to get my bulb out without pulling the whole unit out in the end. I just managed to turn it round sufficiently to get at the bulb.
probably right steve,my problem was a sheared cog on the back of the dial,so the whole shebang had to come out.suck it and see optical;)
