ive got the cupra with standard alarm i think!
i think its gone off a few times already because my indercators have been flashining but no sound has been comminfrom the alarm, does anyone know where the siren is located. and why it is not makin a noise??

there's mo siren. It is using the car's horn. Try to fire it yourself - sit in the car lock it with the key wait about 20 seconds and wave with your arms. :) It should fire.

Mine goes on if a someone with the deep and loud exhaust goes by. You can minimize the sensor sensivity with the button behind drivers seat.

i agree its a the horn speaker...
a bloke at work finds it really funny to set mine off with his custom harley...thank god its winter and the fool aint using it:D

Mine goes off every time its parked on a busy road. The best time was on the Isle Of Wight ferry where it went off the entire journey! Still least we know they work!

I dont think its actually the car horn as the car horn is so much louder, this sounds more like a seperate unit. If it is a seperate unit though it kind of makes you wonder why they made it sound like a weak car horn!

Hve the exact same problem, was parked beside me brothers Evo8 the other day he started it up and it went off, pain in the :censored: A simple bus passing can set mine off.

I didn't know you could change the sensitivity of the alarm :confused:
There is a button on the drivers side, just next to the back seats, which just disables the interior sensors completely.

Pres and hold it for a second. There is a red light on the button which goes on.
