just wondering but i thaught there was going to be a new site. just seems not to have been mentioned for ages.
when is it likely to happen?:cheers:

Yeh its coming along, we hope to go live in the next month or so dependent on time and coding work, was originally planned to be renewed for earlier last year, but lack of manpower and inexperience lead to it not happening.
We've now made a concerted effort to get it sorted, and we have what we think is a smart looking site, but its going to be a work in progress even once its gone live.

I'm sure it will be excellent...This site already is.:D :D
The forum is great, but the webby is tired and we can't update it as we'd like to.
Martyn designed the original site, and its a database driven site, excellent coding all his own work, but as Martyn has very little free time now, us mere mortals are lost making any significant changes to it, hence why the main page is the way it is.
Though his database coding allows us to upload news and reviews very easily, its difficult for us to apply any major alterations without screwing it up.
So we've now got a few of us together and started a fresh with a whole new site, but certain content needs to be transferred to the new one, and still bits and bobs of coding and graphics need to be done.
We'd rather it be right, than launch it too soon, and have lots of problems with it.

Nah dont think we'll be bothering with a gallery, too much hassle involved, we might later in the year we'll have to see, but we have considered another possibility which i like better.
A members car of the month feature, submitting some pictures and detailed info about mods if any, styling, ICE (no reg plates etc not that detailed) But would need their views on their own car, so it would require people to write something about their own car.
And they get a feature on the site, we could easily do one a month or so, better than a gallery i think.
Another possibility a My car section could be added to the forum as a place to show pics of your cars, but that may put un-due strain on the forum database, we'd have to look into it.
