Hey All,

OK - so I have a slight whistle at high speed from the windscreen. Closer inspection showed that in the lower left side of the screen (viewing from front of car) the soft rubber seal that goes all the way around is not making contact with the glass. It also looks like maybe the plastic sill under the wipers is not sitting perfectly? However, it is not leaking or anything...I wonder if the car had the screen replaced some time?

Anyone else seen this? Should I just return to dealer to fix??

my leon has a poor quality finish. Some clips and plastic bits were not properly fitted, needed about an hour with a screwdriver and swiss army knife to correct most problems. http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/eek.gif

Windsreen seals look fine.

I had the same problem with the windscreen seals on mine. My dealer ordered a new clip which they then couldn't fix on. Just as they had ordered a whole new rubber seal they then decided that oh it did now fit.

Problem solved. http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/rolleyes.gif

I had my second new windscreen fitted on monday and noticed that when i got past 80mph there is lots of wind noise present from the windscreen, and it wasnt there before!!, autoglass fitted it and i think i will get them back out to have a look at it

Well, the dealer reckons it is a warped part (the bit that goes under the wipers all the way at the botom of the screen. New part ordered and will be fitted tomorrow morning...

If the weather strip is badly fit, fill in with some black silicon and smooth the fitting with your finger soked in water and soap. That should end the wind noise problem!

FYI - dealer took my car for an hour and it came back perfect. No more whistle at 80 and no more water jets over the roof!

PS - did you guys know that a replacement transponder key is something like £130!!!!
