View Full Version : Seat UK track day cars
Does anybody have an idea what mods the track day cars have had done to their suspension? The ride is so much more solid with much less roll than the standard Cupra.
Saul and I noticed it straight away in the Ex-track day car that APR are running for their demo. At the track day the PR people reckoned the only mods were uprated pads and the roll cages/Momo steering wheels.
Load of boll*cks. If that's a standard suspension set up then I'm taking mine back as a warranty issue.....:)
Cheers

I borrowed that very car today while mine was having the APR upgrade. It did feel firm and handled very well. But as I have not driven a stock Cupra I can't really comment on whether the suspension has been tweeked. The general consensus talking to Mark and Richard at APR is that it probably has.

Yeah, I was talking to Richard about it on Sat. It's noticably stiffer. I want whatever it is....come on SEAT, tell us and then we can buy it as well. Might be a chance for you to make more money out of us!

The roll cage will make a hell of a differance and make the car feel realy solid.
Does anyone supply roll cages for the Ibiza?

Cages have been removed now.
Custom Cages made them.

I agree but they've been removed. Someone suggested it might be the SEAT Sport kit £500 + fitting but if it was why did they say it was standard at the track day. Surely it would've made sense to advertise it?

Maybe its a cunning plan to get people to buy std cupras and then to sell the suspensions after people think.... this does'nt handle as well as I remember..
maybe.
