Hi Guys

Are any of you working for a plastic mouldings company or know anyone that does that could produce the nessecary plastics to mount all of the bits in???

I'm currently working as a design engineer for a certain well known ICE manufacturer and would be happy to (professionally) produce all of the electronics to keep everything else working in the car but I just lack the contacts in the plastics game to get the moulding done..

Not sure if anyone would be interested in me pursuing this project further? Im not in this to make money I just want a kit....

seat list for lhd a fascia plate but it removes the lcd screen and
has 2 holes 4 standard radio and storage tray.

it also uses manual heater/aircon and not electronic as the rhd does. this also uses a different airbox.

sounds like a lot of work but well worth it me thinks.

actually it was standard on the 1.0 stella but could only be bought abroad and never came to england. Also the parts to do this conversion do not exist anymore cause seat scraped it.......

sorry to break bad news.........as the saying goes been there done that!!!!!!!!!!!

try www.kpsport.com and then got o the dox technology page they do a conversion but it ain't cheap and it means sending off the whole dash unit to spain which i for one am not doing .

I would be interested in one if these if the cost isnt too steep.

Ill be getting a 20VT in the next month or so and one of the first things i want to do is sort the stereo as i wasnt too impressed with the standard one!

This is my plan..........

1 remove the existing stereo / climate / display
2 obtain a new moulding that the existing display and climate mounts into in the same position. This new panel will have no buttons for the stereo controls and in the place of the existing tape slot will be a single din sized hole... sopmething along the liness of the attrached picture

Questions
1 is it jsut the metal can down over the disaply and radio hole? or is there a circuit board behind it?
2 have any of the guys who work for seat on here got a duff display, facia, buttons etc module that is broken that I could borrow for a few days? I think I've got someone who can do plastics so I just wanna show them and see how much it would cost to make! I would return it by post!

Cheers and hopefully we can get a ncie cheapish kit built:)
