View Full Version : Seat Ibiza ABS light

Can any1 help?i have a Seat ibiza 1999 2.0L 16v gti cupra sport and recently my abs light stays on for long periods of time then goes off and comes back on etc. my ABS is still working. Any ideas? could it be a a sensor and how do i check. Also how much are we talking so i dont go out and get ripped off. Cheers.:cheers:

Could be a dirty sensor. Whip off the wheel and see. Try disconnecting the battery for a while too.

There's actually 2 abs warning lights on your car.

I had the same problem. If the lights stays on permenantly, it's more than likely a senor fault. These are about 70 quid from vw (more from seat).

The other light (looks the same and next to the first) Comes on and goes off, is most likely a pump related problem. These are not cheap :(

I've had both problems, but fixed both.
Good luck. Your best best is to use VAG-COM to find out which problem it is, otherwise it'll have to go to a garage to find out which sensor (or if it's the pump) is faulty.
