View Full Version : Injectors
Get some lovely large injectors.....
A chap at superchips has got a 110tdi with these injectors and gave 177bhp after a chip section. Injectors and chip would be approx £1000........
Simon at Central VW Audi knows all.

thats a lot of wonger.
JonTDi - has plug-in box which cost 280 quid.
He's getting 152bhp from that alone - i've heard that playing with injectors on 110 is a bit risky
can lead to hyraulic lock.
£1000 is quite a bit of money to speed.
I think it might be cheaper to turn your turbo into a hybrid and get a custom map made for it.
The whole thing would cost about 1000 euros here.
The problem with the 110 bhp is not boost.
According to jabbasport 150bhp is the fuleing widow to its max so to get mush more power more fuel is required, thus the need for the injectors.
Open up the fueling window would increase internal temperatures, thus the requirement for better turbo/intercooler to lower these temps. Personnely id perfer to get more fule in the window that vw designed, like vw motorsport and not have to worry about temps and the problems of pre or post combustion, either are bad, one does pystons in the other does the turbo in as it can lead to comustion within the turbo exhaust side, both expensive if it all go wrong.
Not sure how you'd get any problems with the bigger injector I know of at least 8 people in the uk running bigger injectors with no problems.
But there is light at the end of the, it maybe possible to get just the nozzels and these would cost much less than the injectors, maybe about £35 each nozzels. So for around £140 + £500 (chip)so £640 close to 180bhp maybe available for less cash.
Also if you want a plug in box have a look on ebay, they go for less £100, i have seem them for under £50.

i had heard from freds TDi forum - that bigger injectors on 110 should be only used if compression is lowered.
just what i heard - but still like to know that would it work with tuning box and bigger injectors (just nozzles)
what's the latest on the nozzles ?
will they be available?
Not sure nozzels will work to well with tuning box as for them to work without soot or poor mpg you need to change the boost settings, a tuning box can't directly change these settings.
There was a chap with an Ibiza 90 bhp tdi that went to van aaken for nozzels and tunning box and has now sold his tunning box and got a Upsolute chip, might be worth droping him a line.
Also after some chats with different people it would appear that dual mass flywheels become a problem around the 250 lbft of torque. This data is from Jabba sport who say that 155bhp and 260 lbft is around the max for an otherwise std 110 tdi.
It happens around 2000 rpm (ish) when 250 lbft (ish) meets the natural frequancy of the dual mass flywheel, thus creating not damping out vibration. With out further study I dont know if a suitable chip would be able to have a torque "hole" around 2000 rpm then raise the torque once the window of vibration has passed. But this must limit the tune ability of the 110's beyond 150 bhp ish with out large cash out lays.
The option would seem to be a fixed mass flywheel, possible from a vr6 or g60 golf or a six speed box from a pd tdi. The six speed box is a simple ish swope, but costs. A chap on one of the skoda forums has done the swap.
Hope this helps boys, might take mine to Jabbasport and just see what they can do with the bigger injectors, but on sabbatical from work at the moment so no cash coming in, thus food is more important than chips :-<

As for commpression and injectors, not sure where they got that from as extra would not be effected by compression, unless they are saying that the extra boost required to get the injectors to work proper would require lower compression?
All good stuff, just needs someone on here to bite the bullet and have a go.
Think i may go for the powerplus 110 nozzels form http://www.kermatdi.com/ They are a better shape than std resulting in better mpg and less smoke. They flow more then std 110's but less than the 150 injectors i've got. I'd put them on the larger injectors body as they have higher brake pressures (the pressure the injector start to squart fule), thus hopefully the combination of nozzels and higher brake pressure would result in better MPG?

wez.. the chap you were talking about having different injectors on his 90 TDI and an upsolute chip is Beezerdiesel on here.
Scott
is there anywhere in the UK selling the Kerma Injectors yet ?
Also, where can you get them setup and tested ?
mark.
